What you'll be doing:

  • Valeet is an extremely complex logistical machine, and you will be working on the infrastructure that powers it all.
  • The master engine at the heart of our company, is our version of Air Traffic Control.
  • Data visualizations and in-depth analytics dashboards.
  • Web portals for both our customers, and our growing valet staff. This can range from viewing recent parks/receipts, to scheduling and community building tools for our constantly growing valet workforce.
  • Within a growing micro services architecture, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the core platform in coordination with the API team as well as the other teams within the engineering department
  • The services are mostly written in Node.js and use MongoDB as main storage layer. You will be in charge of implementing complex, data centered pieces of logic within our powerful logistics engine and expose those on our APIs in respect of the best practices
  • The platform requires a particular attention on performances given the complexity of the data structures and the amount of requests the server are handling each day. You will be responsible for well testing your code (unit tests, integration tests, load tests) and propose/implement performance improvements.

You have:

  • Strong Javascript/Node.js skills
  • Ability to work in an highly asynchronous environment
  • Deep knowledge of HTTP standards and best practices
  • Solid understanding of MongoDB
  • Familiarity with version control tools (GIT, SVN)
  • Good communication
  • Team player
  • Data centric mind
  • Solid testing skills and best practices
  • Experience with large-scale metrics and monitoring

What you'll be doing:

  • Solve interesting engineering challenges and problems as we grow; we are a small team, so you’ll own and write code for a significant portion of the app
  • Ship new features, squash bugs, and constantly improve the maintainability of our code base
  • Turn ideas and designs into well-tested, modular architectures that are easily re-used
  • Work with designers, engineers, program managers and other disciplines to hit deadlines while maintaining a high quality product
  • Refactor as you go and help peer review others to always improve the code base
  • Write tests to cover critical business areas and UI flows
  • Create delightful UI and UX for our customers and valets, diving into animations where necessary

Must have:

  • 3+ years active work in software development.
  • 2+ years experience in Swift (2-3.x.x).
  • Previous experience with production and released projects, from zero Architecture to Release status (Itunes connnect)
  • Environment management
  • Familiarity with version control tools (GIT, SVN)
  • Solid understanding of modern iOS architectures and multi-layer patterns (DEP and specifically anti-pattern such Service Locator).
  • Strong knowledge of API-Rest communication, JSON treatment and data synchronization with Core Data abstraction layers. (W/Without Frameworks as Alamofire).
  • Experience with MapKit and Google Places API.
  • Able to manage multiple storyboards and scenes or plain code.

Nice to have:

  • Carthage and Cocoapods, being able to fork and adapt on the way
  • Experience with wide used frameworks as Facebook SDK, Analytics, Firebase, etc.
  • Experience with XCTestCase coverage
  • Multithread and extensions experience would be helpful but is not essential.
  • StackOverflow/Github/Bitbucket contributions

  • Translating design mocks and wireframes into high-quality code
  • Optimizing front end design for a wide variety of web-enabled devices and browsers

You have:

  • 3 years of web development experience working with JavaScript, CSS, HTML
  • Great at building responsive and user-friendly single-page applications in React, Flux, ES6, Redux, Webpack, HTML5, CSS, SCSS, LESS, etc.
  • Solid experience in other frameworks and javascript to meet the 3+ years requirement is fine.
  • Build tools like Gulp, Webpack, Babel, NPM, etc.
  • Testing tools like Mocha, Sinon, Chai
  • Excellent bootstrap and CSS knowledge.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Understand how to debug hard problems in HTTP, XHR, JSON, CORS, SSL, etc.
  • Willing to get involved in some back-end work with NodeJS, MongoDB, ...
  • Ability to interact and work well with members of other functional groups in a project team and a strong sense of project ownership
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies

What will you do?

  • Define interaction models, user task flows, and UI specifications. 
  • Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs to stakeholders. 
  • Work with our creative director to incorporate the visual identity of or sites into features. 
  • Develop and maintain design wireframes, mockups, and specifications as needed.
  • Explore many different approaches to solving a specific user problem. Refine and iterate to create the “best” user experience. 
  • Deliverables: Wireframes of screens, storyboards, design, logos
  • Tools of the trade: Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, InVisionApp.
  • Collaborating with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
  • Maintaining consistency in visual elements and defining behavior such as how to display error or warning states fall under the purview of a UI designer
  • Define interaction models, user task flows, and UI specifications.
  • Creating wireframes, storyboards and screen flows
  • Developing personas and usage scenarios
  • Analyzing user feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience
